Xackup backs up, migrates, restores and replicates virtual machines on XenServer and XCP-ng. It runs on Windows 10 (1607) or Windows Server 2016 and newer.

What gets installed

Part What it is
Xackup desktop app The Windows app you work in: servers, jobs, schedules, history.
XackupAPI service A Windows service that runs your jobs and serves the Xackup web UI. It starts at boot.

Both are installed together, either by the setup program or by one PowerShell command. Both methods are fully supported. Nothing else has to be installed first: the installer adds the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime, the ASP.NET Core 8 Runtime and WebView2 when they are missing.

Where to start

  1. Install with the setup program or with PowerShell. Both are equal; choose one.
  2. Choose whether other computers may connect to the service.
  3. Keep Xackup current with Upgrade.

Xackup 2.12 is the stable release, and there are no other release channels. Download links are on the Downloads page.
